Hi, I’m Siying.

I spend a lot of time wondering how we perceive things, especially now, when screens, swipes, and constant updates seem to shape everything. I'm drawn to the quite shifts technology brings to how we relate to objects, spaces, and each other.

I work in the space between art and design, where form, function, and feeling can coexist (sometimes unexpectedly).

My background includes branding, publishing, graphic design, and spatial design, but I tend to treat disciplines like ingredients: I mix them depending on the story I want to tell.

My projects often involve drawing, photography, installation, and time-based media. I like working with materials that have their own rhythm, like bodies figuring out how to move inside systems they didn't design.

You might’ve seen my work at places like Tate Modern (Tate Lates), ST.ART Gallery, or the Glasgow Gallery of Photography.

I studied Environment Design in Beijing, then moved to London for a Graduate Diploma and MA at the Royal College of Art, where I kept stretching the boundaries of what I make and how I think.

When I'm not making things, I'm probably staring at some objects, or walking on the street just to hear how different pavements sound under my shoes.
